Soccer Camp Planned by Sports Academy
December 27-29 Camp Features Soccer Legend Cobi Jones
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (Dec 4, 2017) — Sports Academy announced today that it will host the Second Annual Cobi Jones Elite Soccer Camp from December 27th-29th in Thousand Oaks at Rancho Conejo Playfields and Sports Academy’s 96,000 sq. ft. training facility. The three-day camp, led be US Soccer legend Cobi Jones, is designed for players ages 8yr-13 years of age who are looking to elevate their game through skills training and competition. Cobi will be on-site for the duration of the camp along with an elite staff of coaches making up a 12/1 player-coach ratio.
After becoming a stand-out player at Westlake High School and UCLA, Cobi spent 12 years as a star forward for the Los Angeles Galaxy, while representing the US National Team in 3 world cups (1994, 1998, 2002) and was a member of the 1992 US Olympic Team. After retiring from the MLS in 2007 with 70 goals and 91 assists in 306 appearances, Cobi became the first Galaxy player to have his Jersey retired and was inducted into the US Soccer Hall of Fame in 2011.
