VENTURA, CALIF. (Jan 30, 2020) — The League of Women Voters of Ventura County (LWVVC) announced today that it will host several candidate forums in Ventura County prior to the March 3 California first ever “Super Tuesday” Primary Election.
All forums are free and open to the public. Questions come from the audience and are asked by the moderator.
The League encourages residents to register for the forums online at www.LwvVC.EventBrite.com so that they can be notified of any last minute changes. Registration also helps the League predict attendance and provide parking details and other information to attendees. Registration is not required.
Pat Essick, Voter Services Chair for the League of Women Voters of Ventura County, says “As part of our mission to encourage informed and active participation in government, we are proud once again to host forums for local races. This is an opportunity for voters to submit questions and learn about each candidate running to represent them.”
Betsy Patterson, President of the League of Women Voter Ventura County added “For the past 100 years, the mission of the League of Women Voters has been to inform voters about candidates and issues so they can vote wisely. We are a non-profit, non-partisan organization.”
The League of Women Voters does not support or oppose candidates or political parties.
