John G. Lockhart

John G. Lockhart is the President of People Media Group. From 1992 to 1994 John was senior vice president and manager of Porter/Novelli's health care practice in the Western region. John's years of experience include work with a number of companies in a variety of industries, including Gerber Products, Baxter Healthcare, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Amgen, Nestle, Mentor Corporation and Johnson & Johnson

John is also an expert in issues and crisis management, having worked with a medical device manufacturer during an FDA recall, the Seventh-day Adventist Church during the Branch Davidian crisis in Waco, and a major Japanese consumer electronics company and a large HMO on employer issues. John has also worked with several consumer product companies on product tampering issues.

In addition to work for clients at Halsted Communications, John has served as a board member for the American Cancer Society, and the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation.

John has a degree in journalism from Marquette University and a certificate in advanced management from the University of Southern California.

Wendy P. Basil

Wendy P. Basil,received her MA in Communications Management from the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Southern California and has served clients in a variety of industries with their public relations, marketing and research needs. She has won a number of writing awards as a freelance writer and has headed teams that have won industry awards for product introduction, media relations, community relations, special events, proprietary publications and crisis management.

Wendy heads client service at People Media Group and counsels clients on product and corporate positioning. She is a crisis specialist with over fourteen years of experience in health care issues. Health care and nutrition issues are often linked. Wendy's food experience covers a diverse group of clients from fast food franchisers (Baskin-Robbins, El Pollo Loco) to growers collectives (Sunkist, Almond Board, California Kiwi) to blue-chip food corporations with household names (Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Gerber Products).

Wendy serves on the board of directors for the American Cancer Society in Southern California and on the state level. She is also on the board of PAWS, a group which helps AIDS/HIV patients and their pets. In the past, she was worked closely with AIDS Project/Los Angeles, Rebuild LA, CARE and Healthy LA 2000.

Andrea [Hanson] Schepke

Andrea Schepke joins People Media with more than 12 years of experience at two leading international PR firms -- Hill & Knowlton and Porter Novelli.  Andrea's strength's in account management and client service, combined with exceptional writing and media relations skills, make her a terrific addition to the People Media team.

Andrea previously served as Managing Director at Hill & Knowlton's Chicago office, where she lead a $1 million marketing program for the Welsh Development Agency.  Andrea also provided strategic counsel and oversight on the Illinois Lottery account, supported consumer marketing initiatives for Alamo Rent-A-Car, and managed media relations on the PricewaterhouseCoopers account.

Andrea joined Hill & Knowlton after seven years at Porter/Novelli-Los Angeles, where she rose from intern to account supervisor working on a variety of food, consumer product and technology accounts.

In her years of agency work, Andrea has gained the confidence and respect of her clients and colleagues. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
